R’alocha ,coined from the Sebirwa/Sepedi phrase “Re a lotšha”is the brainchild of Botswana born Aone Ditirwa (pronounced Uh-oh-né), a medical student, self-taught designer, entrepreneur, creative writer and fashion zealot!
The term simply means “Hello” in a language spoken east of Botswana, where Aone comes from. It is especially remarkable as it is a symbol of honour by the person greeting towards the person being greeted. It is usually directed to people of a celebrated and esteemed status.
In this light we at R’alocha work tirelessly to provide products that will represent such uniqueness and offer our customers an emblem of prestige.
Aone’s design aesthetic is best described as erratic. Whilst she’s particularly fond of retro inspired work, she does not hesitate to explore all frontiers of the artistic world.
We aim to preserve the essence of style by improving the standard and quality of fashion products. We also hope to uplift fellow creatives by granting opportunities and eliminating the barriers that besiege the fashion industry particularly in Africa.
