Kente & Silk’s Africa Week comes bearing gifts!

After a very difficult first half of the year for us all, Kente & Silk are blessing us once more with their annual Beijing Africa Week – 6 days of events promoting Brand Africa in China, and championing an Africa-China relations based on genuine exchange and cultural understanding.

The Kente & Silk team have planned seven days of events both on and offline to further this mission.

What’s more, they’ll be screening Joseph, the award-winning film by Bajan-Jamaican director Marcia Weekes. Back in June, we spoke to Marcia, her husband Dave Weekes and Ambassador Chihombori-Quao as she shared the important message of unity that inspired the film.

Now, Kente & Silk are bringing this message to Beijing! On the 22nd of July at 6:30pm, Camera Stylo, the team will host a screening and discussion with the directors and a host of Beijing-based creatives.

If the trailer wasn’t enough to go by, check the video below to get a sneak peek of the typical vibe at a Joseph screening!

Remember Kente & Silk are holding a host of other events too!

This promises to be a week not to be missed!

See you there!
